our barefoot bhangra party was held at the  sfbc  saturday october 24th. 

thanks to everyone who came and made the night such a celebration! it was 3 hours of freestyle movement to danceable Indian music, in a festive, smoke and alcohol-free environment. baindu coomber, of duniya dance and drum company led a great beginning bhangra lesson, and some folks left with some nice raffle prizes.

tipu's tiger chai sold their delicious chai by-the-mug, and karunadevi and sarah brown baked delicious treats. all chai and treat sales were generously donated to jai bhim international. the evening raised close to $800, which will finance our december 2009 projects. thanks to our expanding jai bhim community for support and friendship.
